As we expand across multiple states, we are seeking a Human Resources Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands restaurant operations, and brings the professionalism and structure we need as we scale.
Position Overview
We are looking for a highly organized, people-centered, and proactive Part-Time Human Resources Coordinator to manage HR functions across our restaurant group. This role is remote, but may require occasional on-site visits for training or support.
You will play a key part in recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and helping create a positive culture within the Food Geeks team.
This role is perfect for someone who loves structure, communicates well, and enjoys building systems that support growing companies.
Key Responsibilities
Recruiting & Staffing
- Post job listings across major platforms
- Screen applicants and schedule interviews
- Support managers with hiring needs for multiple locations
Onboarding & HR Administration
- Handle digital onboarding documents (I-9, W-4, direct deposit, etc.)
- Ensure smooth orientation for all new employees
- Maintain employee records in HRIS systems
Employee Relations
- Serve as a friendly and professional HR point of contact
- Support conflict resolution and coach managers on HR best practices
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Compliance & Policies
- Ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws (multi-state)
- Support restaurant teams with policy interpretation
- Help update and distribute employee handbooks
Culture & Engagement
- Assist with performance reviews and staff appreciation initiatives
- Support internal communication and culture-building activities
Qualifications
Required
- 1β3 years of HR experience (restaurant experience strongly preferred)
- Strong understanding of HR compliance, onboarding, and recruiting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines
Preferred
- Experience with restaurant scheduling/payroll platforms (e.g., Homebase, Toast, ADP)
- Multi-location HR experience
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Compensation
Hourly Rate:
